Henrique Neiva , em seus quadros de grande dimensão , predominam as texturas rugosas e pastosas, a solidez. Trabalha como na colagem, integrando todos os elementos possíveis. Ele aprofundou na pesquisa de seu principal material, o minério e também utiliza outros materiais como: cimento, terras, ceras, cristais de quartzo, pó de mármore, pedra, palha, óxidos ferrosos, vernizes, folhas de ouro, prata e cobre. Usa sempre, muitos relevos e texturas nas suas abstrações. As cores da terra, predominantes em quase todos os seus quadros, acentuam mais estes elementos. A abstração é absoluta, sendo permitida apenas a introdução de certos símbolos, embora com um significado muito subjetivo. O ascetismo cromático é outra das constantes em sua obra: os tons preferidos são os marrons, ocres, terra e o preto. Este artista Mineiro também se aventurou na Arte Povera e no conceitualismo, retirando objetos de seus contextos.”
